My New Year resolution – New Horizons!
Strangely for a blog purporting itself to be about terrestrial nature, I found my interests this month exploring the Cosmos and our Universe, vast and mysterious beyond belief. Believing this to be a genuine topic for this blog – my travails in outer space, I decided to
WISH ALL MY READERS A HAPPY NEW YEAR
with a resolution that suits my change of lifestyle this year from military duties to study leave.
I promise this year that I will explore new horizons and like the space craft which has reached nearer Pluto than Earth, go where I (man) have (has) never gone before.
Hope you join me on this epic adventure of discovery in 2010 by reading The ButterflyDiaries!

I am a close friend of Sandeep Phatak’s dad & mom and also of Navang (who died while on duty with the Gurkah Regiment) Kapadia’s dad & mom. I liked your site and am encouraged that young people like you are taking thee lead in various fields of endevour that require not just head but also a heart. I used to be a climber from Mumbai and am settled in the US for the last 25 years. GOd Bless you and May you have a wonderful NEW YEAR.

Thanks for visiting and glad to read your comment! Perhaps I am not so young anymore but definitely young at heart! The young lads of India’s Army were and are magnificient people who remind us how worthwhile this life on earth is and how each one of us must cherish each moment God gives us on this wondrous earth!

Thank you, thebutterflydiarist.
your comment with a rhyming twist,
brought a smile to my face
and renewed apace
the need for me to add to my list.
What list you may ask, with curiosity
In my bird list, I see a paucity.
Too much work has made my blog dull
And I hope Sunday’s bird race will end the lull
And I resume my quest with velocity!

To rhyme it takes just a while
but it brings to your face a smile
That smile makes the effort completely worthwhile
The best things in life are free!

Well, this is the first blog I have ever read. I could’nt resist the temptation you know! What with Pluto and space craft and all that. While , I have crossed a barrier, thanks to you , Ashwin, you will surely transcend the barriers of all horizons during study leave. Here’s wishing you and your readers all the best in 2010 and beyond ……..
